2004 Andersonville Tour

On May 23rd, the GTA headed about 150 miles south of Atlanta to Andersonville, site of one of the largest, and most infamous, detention camps for Union soldiers during the American Civil War. The drive down took us down some lesser traveled roads, and was uneventful. However, the Andersonville National Park Service site was both beautiful and moving. The site of the original prison also houses a national prisoner of war museum. Here are some shots of our trip.
