2007 GTA Tech Session
Yanking out a Stag!

The last year or so has not been kind to Joe Earnest's Triumph engines.  They had a way of, well, um, not exactly running right. There was the matter of a small hole in his Stag engine and then the Herald had it's day with another matter and the Dolly forced Joe to finish the 2006 DTT Rally on 3 cylinders.  But as with New Year's resolutions, Joe has made a turn for the better and will soon have a professionally rebuilt Rover V8 residing in his Carmine car.  However, before that could happen he needed to remove a non-running engine from the car, and no he didn't break this one... it came that way.  So, on Saturday, January 6th several GTA members Hugh McAleer, Michael Campsmith, Ray Sinclair, Richard Waldrop, and Ashford Little answered Joe's distress call for assistance in removing the three liter lump.  The gods of Triumph were kind to us that day as the weather was excellent, and the engine was removed without damage to persons or his car.  What a great way to start off the New Year!
