Trip Plans: The destination for the Thursday January 18th ORF is a going to be McCaysville, GA.  Why a Thursday you may ask??? Well, it’s getting difficult to find a good choice of restaurants open for lunch on Wednesdays!!!  This Tour will include a spirited run from Stone pile Gap – Trahlyta’s Grave near Dahlonega up/down the twisty/curvy mountain roads of GA HWY 60 to Mineral Bluff.

The tentative schedule/route is:

08:00am – 09:00am Breakfast at Dawsonville IHOP, 4117 Dawson Forest Rd E, Dawsonville, GA

09:00 am- 09:15am Tire kicking and drivers’ meeting.

09:15am - 10:45am Depart IHOP for drive to Exxon at 8200 Appalachian Hwy, Mineral Bluff, GA

10:45am – 11:15am Bio/fuel break

11:15am – 11:45am Short drive to McCaysville, GA

11:45am – 01:15pm Lunch - Burra Burra on the River, 100 Blue Ridge Dr, Suite 100, McCaysville, GA

A few pointers/requests:

There are multiple opportunities to join/leave the tour enroute to make it more convenient for you to participate. Please contact me to discuss alternatives.

If you plan to participate, no later than Monday JAN 15, please send me an email advising me the # of participants, your cellphone #, and if you plan to eat breakfast and/or lunch with the group.  This information is required to ensure sufficient seating at IHOP, make reservations for lunch, and to send you a confirmation email advising you the tour is a go, based on weather, a few days prior to the departure. This is also how you’ll get a copy of the final route.
